Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
