For the third consecutive evening, Irish police encountered a barrage of projectiles and pyrotechnics within the capital city.

A large crowd of demonstrators assembled near the entrance of a facility sheltering asylum seekers in a western district of the city.

This represents the third night of demonstrations at Citywest following an alleged sexual assault involving a young girl in the vicinity of the hotel in the early hours on Monday.

A 26-year-old, whose identity cannot be disclosed due to standard procedures in sexual assault proceedings, was presented in the judicial system on Tuesday charged in connection with the reported event.

Multiple detentions took place during the significant unrest on Tuesday night, and the Irish police service vowed a “robust response” if the hostilities persisted.
